Modulaire Fume Cupboards
The Modulaire Fume Cupboard is a cupboard designed for heavy industrial use, featuring a number of modifications to assist in high chemical resistance and longevity. Modulaire Fume Cupboards are fully compliant with Australian Standards.
Features
The cupboard features a one piece aerodynamic front fascia that enhances air flow to the inner chamber, minimising air turbulence and enhancing containment to create a safe working environment for the user.
The Modulaire cupboard boasts a unique smooth sliding 6mm thick toughened glass, counter-balanced sash that slides quietly on specially extruded runners. These runners are more robust than PVC runners and enable extremely smooth, trouble free operation for the life of the cupboard. The glass can be coated with clear vinyl film to stop discoloration when using Perchloric Acid.
The cupboard features a one-piece moulded inner-chamber with radius corners to prevent entrapment of contaminants.
The baffles in the Modulaire fume cupboard feature a 3 layer extraction system that remove contaminants at low medium and low levels whilst maintaining an even average face velocity through the sash opening. The unique arrangement of three level baffles allows the removal of ‘heavier than air’ fumes and complete washing of the rear baffles while the fume cupboard is operating. The arrangement also does not allow any wash-down liquor to leak onto the work surface.
The work surfaces can either be fixed or removable and are available in 16mm thick solid Laboratory Grade Laminate, Solid Laboratory Grade Epoxy (25mm fixed or 16mm lift-out) uPVC, PVDF, Stainless Steel, Polypropylene, Heat and Chemical Resistant Ceramic Tile.
The Modulaire also features in-built scrubber units, integral scrubbers are ideal for use with Prechloric and Hydroflouric acids.
Accessories
The Modulaire fume cupboard is available either as a bench or floor mounted model. The cupboard is designed to purposely overhang a standard 750mm wide bench/support cabinet to allow operation without obstruction. Floor mounted fume cupboards are supplied with height adjustable feet.
I-Fab offers sinks in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be made from Polypropylene, 316 grade Stainless steel sink, ceramic, solid laboratory grade epoxy or uPVC.
All I-Fab cupboards are designed to achieve a minimum of 400 lux at the work surface. All lighting will be fitted into the cupboard as per standard.
Laboratory fittings are supplied in epoxy coated DR brass for chemical and corrosion resistance. Where distilled water or ultra-pure waters are required, moulded PVC, Polypropylene or PTFE fittings are used. Where wet or dry services are required, the Modulaire cupboard is supplied pre-plumbed using PFTE lined stainless steel braided hoses between the service outlet and the corresponding remote control valve. Colour coded nylon tube with brass compression fittings are available and offer cost effective option on all services except inert glass.
Carbon/HEPA filters are available to suit various applications where clean discharge into the environment is required.
